There’s a pretty salty rebuttal to this on https://freenode.net . You can feel the hurt ego in the prose. It saddens me to see how far the original openprojects.net (renamed to freenode) has fallen since the early 2000s, when I w

Totally true- I went through the process of manually overclocking my 2080ti for max hash rate and the best settings involved setting a power limit that is less than half the card’s 100% limit.

I make $7-8 per day, after electrical costs, letting my 2080ti (normally used for flight sim, but when not in use…) run nicehash’s miner software. My electricity costs $0.0816 per kWh. Not a ton of money but it adds up after a month and the

I don’t see how your unanswered question relates to RHSeeger’s statement, but your transparent attempt to deflect by continuing to bring it up, again, says more about the flaws in your thought process than it achieves your aim.

Based on what you wrote, I agree with RHSeeger that you did indeed make that assumption. That you can’t see it speaks volumes about your analysis not matching the facts.

The worldview he is (poorly) attempting to prosthelytize is inherently nefarious. It doesn’t matter if he intends it or not.

I know dozens of engineers that maximize one single native OS terminal window and use tmux or screen inside of it to divide it into more “windows” (which are not OS native and just basically ascii frames). Yes there are other benefits too,
