Hrmmmmm the controls for the first 2 graphs appear to be the same and they're called out for it [0]. But it could very well be that they're supposed to be the same? Authors may just need to better highlight why the same control is

Thanks for above. As Woit mentioned, the video format is great and for guys like me. PBS Spacetime is where I go for a lot of "layman-with-the-lightest-touch-of-math"[0]. [0] https://www.youtube.com/c/pbsspace

I'll agree with Reddit and most of the posts here. It's too dangerous to be worth it. Once every 3-7 years replacement at ~US$150-350 YMMV is honestly not that much money saved vs the risk.

I'll agree there needs to be a massive supply boost in the form of entry level housing (only for 1st time owners, get rid of corp land grabs). That's what Singapore does quite well (I currently live here). The HDB system isn'

The goal isn't to make the networks seem like one and connect resources across accounts, which is what those products do. My goal is to access private resources via SSH bastion/jump machines in a specific account. There's a f

For everyone else, I'll shamelessly use this to plug Netmaker[0]. Not affiliated, just a satisfied guy that needs access to private AWS VPCs across multiple accounts and would love to see them be more widely adopted. [0] https:/&

DBeaver is great, but it's so heavy/clunky on OSX. Also, 99% of the time I want 1. tables+data 2. data structure+index of table 3. search 4. sql query DBeaver aims to be a full admin system and simply getting to the data makes me

If what the grandparent comment says is true, I agree with Boeing. I HATE Boeing and what they've done to themselves. They had such a leg up on Airbus post A380 market, and squandered it with greed, but I digress. What good does giving

I should've put context, but we are a b2b and barely have any CPU utilization and mostly in bursts. Normally we would have at minimum 2x Fargate "mediums" sitting around for redundancy. ~US$130/mth now our server costs &

If you look at the technical requirements, 1000 TeV seems impossible since LHC is at ~13TeV even if we optimize it for a weapon instead of science. Not sure how to get a dollar figure if the tech isn't remotely possible.
