If I'm just showing off work to clients and pushing things to a staging/dev server, a lot of the time I'll use grunt-rsync or grunt-sftp to push everything up at the end of my `$ grunt produce` task. For site deployments, I p

I'd implore you to take a look at a gallery of sites built with bootstrap: http://builtwithbootstrap.com . I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that not all sites built with Bootstrap follow the default mold of a thin 100%-width

While I agree with the thinking here, simply learning Photoshop and CSS doesn't make you a designer and learning programming doesn't make you a programmer. I'm a front-end dev who's more than competent in Photoshop and can write really modu

Author makes some points that are fine, I guess. A dev needs to carefully consider his audience and his fellow developers. If I can use jQuery and know that I'm not going to have cross-browser DOM API issues, then let me have it. Because th

"The true problem is that when crafting an email 95% of the time is spent getting the design just right and only 5% is spent on the subject and content." I'm curious what shop you are thinking of that has this kind of time breakdown? I know

Glorified SMS? I get that the compose window is smaller but this is pretty unbelievably hyperbole. On my main screen, I get over 4000 characters before having to scroll and even on my 13" laptop screen, I can fit close to 1700 characters in

I think I get it but this is a weird analogy. Fine dining is an experience; great software provides value in that it enhances workflows, allows you to do your job better, etc.

Is there a reason to use https over a protocol-relative url? My go-to is <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script>

1) a "witch hunt" can be taken in the metaphorical sense to mean a hunt for any enemy/dissenter.[1] I think the term is used rather judiciously. 2) "It is likely" isn't good enough. You're hypothesizing. Could they have found them? Maybe. C

That's a pretty bold (and borderline offensive) statement. You're effectively thumbing your nose at anyone who develops open source projects and even more so, anyone who subscribes to a philosophy of the open-nature of the web.

This is a nice looking redesign but I think I'll probably stick to jqapi.com for quick reference. It's fast, I can find methods by URL (eg. jqapi.com/#p=get), and search auto-completes.
