I just got a NYTimes news alert that S&P is in fact holding off on downgrading the US based on the math error that was discovered. Did anyone else see that come through? Is NYT just behind a little?

my eye was drawn to the silhouettes and coming soon logo first, then the "heres2" rectangle afterwards. Maybe adjust your sizing of each so that the logo is less prominent and the content box owns the visitor's focus.

Do you think it would be better to do something like a qualifying project to prove a foundation or would a blank slate be preferred? I feel like either could be argued, but I'm in total agreement about this learning style.

Could a business model be wrapped around pairing blogs with relevant sponsors? Obviously some possible issues with this (sponsors can't control the message) but it's a little more unique than standard display ads. Example - Qomments for "Ia

im sure im the exception to the rule here, but I find it harder to work with music on. it turns into a distraction because I constantly fiddle with the playlist, etc. but if you have to choose, sample a little john legend

you should focus on building relationships with users and potential users. a good portion of apps permeate organically. think angry birds, you see it on a friend's phone, maybe play it. by the time youre in the app store youve alrady made u

I think Yes. They can fold their other ad properties in to improve the offers for businesses, which is a huge win. Consumers will probably use any social buying service that has a good deal. Winning over the businesses that offer the deals

I'm more concerned with what it is, not how long it took. I am a firm believer in "build half/launch early" etc, but to me greatness is measured on an absolute scale.

Handle responses better. One of CL's weaknesses is how annoying responses get. I recently posted an ad in NYC and received over 80 replies. But they're all individual emails so there's no easy way to scroll through the replies in a long lis

I'm not sure the author is questioning the quality of startups. He's just reminding everyone about the goal of starting a business, not a website. You're absolutely right, the author is frustrated. It's because many startups have innovative

Even a combination of both would be nice. Videos/lectures have value, but I'm more likely to use a "tangible" electronic document like an e-book or a white paper.
