I don't think they can be defended. In the UK last winter, generators artificially "shut down" to drive up prices. It's a rigged game that hurts consumers: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023&#

I wouldn’t say it’s that bad. More like mid level accounting or experienced fork lift operator.

Posthog isn't truly open source as the author claims. It's "too complex" to run natively and is only recommended for "hobby" projects. They basically say, yeah our source code is there but if you want to run it

I tried that, didn't work. They said, "Our engineers have told us you damaged the port, maybe an electricity charge or water got in there". Brand new product, never took a charge. I resolved it by taking it to a genius bar an

Not if they say you "intentionally damaged" the port. Given I only tried the charger once, this was pretty annoying.

I remember reading that the founder was working in low-latency Java development with London investment banks for years. I guess it's what he knew. Also, Rust is a hard language to start a company with so I wouldn't be surprised if

I just hate the form factor for now. Putting on a VR headset is still like sticking a console onto your head as opposed to a pair of glasses. I'm very pro-VR, love "thrill of the fight" and "alyx" but sweating it ou

Poor funding, demographics, crime, academic underperformance. There isn’t a consistent factor, just a combination of the above. Teacher pay and conditions are also worse in state schools.

Not sure that is a reasonable answer. War time measures, financial crises and earthquakes are exceptional circumstances. Where has a government gone, woops, that privatisation was a bad idea, let’s buy back our national infra and burn the s

Would love to see that happen but no government can stop that train now. Too much money is required and they can't just seize the assets.
