I'm in no way saying that markdown is perfect but it is much better than anything else I've used. It's got me through both a bachelors and masters. The author of this article appears to be unaware of pandoc, and even better q

This use case is definitely why I use nushell. It's not 800kb but it does a lot more and the syntax is excellent. Not to take away from you're achievement though. But it'd have to be something very good to budge me from nushe

I learned a number of data processing cli tools: jq, mlr, htmlq, xsv, yq, etc; to name a few. Not to the level of completing advent of code or anything, but good enough for my day to day usage. It was never ending with the amount of formats

Nushell is a lot more than a simple shell script, it's a full programming language. Certainly no markup support builtin though. Unless I'm misunderstanding nushell has a type system and is strongly/gradually typed. And there

I know this isn't quite the same thing but how does this compare to nushell, which is my current goto for data processing and cli related stuff. It took provides a standard language and processes the various data formats it can read in

I often wonder how these types of projects compare to nushell. I love nushell because of its use of pipes. It doesn't compile to native code but it is my goto for this sort of thing.

I didn't know what currying was before I read the article, and having read some of it before I gave up, I think it's something to do with functions.

Thanks. After searching I thought it might be that but wasn't sure because it seemed so ridiculous. It certainly wasn't my goto when I read it, but the fact it was for some people might suggest the developer should change it, if o

As a native English speaker who had to Google joonish to see what people were talking about, what is the big issue with the name?

I am a native English speaker and it has taken me reading all these comments about the name and a Google search to figure out people are equating joo with Jew. I still don't get what the issue is...

I wonder if, and this is just speculating not trying to start an arguement, if this sort of thing could have happened in the simpler pre-snap, pre-systemd systems? More to the point is this a cause of using more complicated software?

Easier said than done, and completely ignoring the intricacies of "just have a website". I can write the html, CSS, JavaScript needed for a website, I can spin up a local web server to serve these files, but setting up an internet

I'd love to see where you think I was being passive aggressive and/or condescending... Like I said above it's hard to tell in text but what I read in my original comment is an overtly aggressive overview of my experience in a

Apologies if that's the way I'm coming across, my intent was the opposite. My mindset isn't one of delegating my intellectual advancement to others, my experience of academia is that academia actively stifled it. I almost dro

If that's the case then and researching is way above masters level then how is it you get on a PhD? Genuine question. If everything I've done to date is a pale imitation of the real thing how can I make a fair assessment as to whe

Zotero and AI have this covered now. If there's one thing AI is good at it's summarising crappy formatted papers. Never understood the 2 and 3 column thing. Horrendous way to format something.
