I was going to ask whether articles might go the way of pronouns in that people might latch onto them and start demanding you refer to them only using a particular article when they're not around, like some do with pronouns. Then email

Are these obvious signs of AI generation?

This situation is why I don't use authenticator apps, or passkeys linked to a device. Single point of failure, and obviously with any of the big tech companies, zero recourse.

I finished a BSc and an MSc with quarto and fossil. It had to be in Word so I wrote a VBA script that pulled comments so I could edit my markdown files easier.

Can someone ELI5 what the issue is here? I feel like I'm missing a lot of nuance here. Are the NSA people attempting to weaken TLS by removing ECC?

I suppose for me the net benefit is I can do without it. I don't like the feeling of being dependent on something. I like that I can just get up and go do something without having to get a coffee to stave off a headache and be fully fu

I cut back because I found that I couldn't go a day without it without a massive headache. Took me 2 weeks to stop craving coffee. And about a month until I started to feel right. I still have the occasional coffee but don't drink

I would income education institutions might benefit from being able to distinguish between AI and human generated text. The people who benefit, in the long run, are the students.

This is horrendous. Kudos for creating something but I think by combining shell scripts with yaml you've made an abomination. Not only do I need to know the shell commands but also your yaml DSL too?

You should search for portable apps. For me it's the only good thing about windows.

I'm not a Mac user, and have no.comment about the drag to application folder thing. But as a Linux and windows user, I always liked how windows could have portable apps. These dmg files seem similar to having a portable app. Back in th

I threw out a Samsung TV after they kept asking this shit. They'd provided a single button to accept but literally 200+ decline buttons, one for every partner, that I needed to scroll through a click with my remote. Fuck Samsung. Will

I'm not at all saying private messaging makes people unsafe. I was interested in what the OP thinks governments should be doing to keep people safe. Clearly I have not worded my reply carefully enough, so for clarity: I am all for priv

I'm not condoning this but what would you suggest they should be doing to keep people safe? I'm fairly sure whatever they do you'd likely be complaining about it. Glad to be wrong though.
