If you like synthesizers, I’d strongly suggest checking out one of the synths op talked about. They’re an immense amount of fun and are closer to an IDE than say, a Juno-106.

If I had one wish, it would be that we would all give up that rude “citation needed” trope. I agree with you, yet that’s such a childish way to argue that it hurts the point. Just have the confidence to say you don’t agree!

There are three main categories of code reviews: 1.) Things are mainly bad. 2.) Things are mainly good. 3.) Somewhere in between. Within those, everything I see and flag as worthy of discussion is either: 1.) Something that violates our rul

I’m old and I do a combination of: 1.) Teach things that are really important to me. 2.) Google the rest. Sadly, I don’t time to learn everything that I want and if I had the time I wouldn’t be able to retain it anyways.

It sounds like there's an ML based way to get rid of A&R reps and that labels would be interested in it. If someone rolls with this and makes A&R obsolete, you've likely done a good thing for the music industry.

I saw something happen when I was young and still can’t talk about it. So I guess thanks for making me feel completely fucked up?? Sometimes people have feelings. You may not agree but I don’t think they need to be mocked. You just mocked

Thank you for sharing this story - I feel extremely sad for you but also respect your bravery for sharing something so brutal. I'm so sorry that happened at your school.

If that is meant to be a joke, it’s actually quite funny. Good job. If you meant that seriously, it’s extremely poor quality advice. Leverage is neither free nor cheap. And taking 100% leverage is obscenely risky. Your characterization of i

I don’t like crypto and in all truth, I would love to use this as evidence that I’ve always been right. However, at its core, this story is about some random startup running out of money. It doesn’t mean a thing and I can’t possibly use it

It’s similar to baseball. A goalie can come in and preserve a win but only gets credited with the W if they’re in goal when the winning goal is scored. So an EBUG can win without receiving the W in the stats column.

Other people have tried to explain this in many ways, but I'll take a stab in a different direction. When you purchase stock in a company, you agree to certain governance principles, rights and responsibilities. Those principles outlin

I like to laugh and still share side-splitting laughs with my friends, but I understand their point. There’s an entirely different level of laughter where my child is involved. She’s six now so I’m used to it but when she was little, I coul

No, adults are usually capable of providing constructive feedback without being harsh. We generally learned that somewhere in our mid teens. This ‘criticize people to death’ shit should embarrass everyone here. We can be better.

Did you actually just compare being transgendered to suffering from a spinal cord injury?? I’m curious, why do you feel the need to hurt marginalized people? What do you gain?

And again, this isn’t a trial and aroundtown doesn’t have to share all their evidence. Why not just take it as an anecdote and leave it? You’ve repeated this theme enough now that it sure seems like bullying. Would you just let it go?

I can give you a bit of data that is roughly thirty years old. When I was a youngster, I had a job at Subway. I was freakishly nerdy and good at math, so I ended up doing cash most of my shifts. If it went well, it took me twenty minutes.
