I started taking vitamin d when I started my professional life as a software engineer after my studies. I had a minor winter depression, and I’ve never stopped taking. Since then I’ve had no colds at all. Of course this is anecdotal, but I

Well a deadly pandemic wouldn’t need immunity, they’d all die. Regarding parent; I believe it was known that the measles vaccine wouldn’t protect for life but for a fair amount of time where having to go through the disease would’ve given l

Is this something we should wish for? It’s my understanding that for SARS-CoV-2 a lot of people seem to have t-cell immunity because they’ve been infected with other families of coronavirus. Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t vaccinating

Turkey has been treating people with HCQ from May onwards, despite outcomes of the now-retracted(!) study once published in The Lancet, and they have a very low death rate. 256/1M Population. (See: https://www.middleeasteye.

There’s enough evidence for medication and preventive supplements (Ivermectin, Vitamin D) that lockdowns aren’t necessary anymore. Other treatments have looked promising when applied early in the disease instead of after hospitalisation. Ac

This is great. Of the effectiveness is a as good in the long run, we don’t even need a vaccine since it’s no longer a high risk disease. It’ll be a flu like vaccination where elderly and at-risk people can be using it

I feel USA is more liberal in that perspective. I would agree with the system if the options you mention were also available in our country (NL) but they aren’t. You can’t even move to homeschooling when you’ve only enlisted one of your chi

Just the idea of a school is worse than a prison: - it’s mandatory - closed confinement - not allowed to do what you want in that closed area - you’re being told what to do for at least 8-14 years - you’re being told when to pee - during th

The whole world is starting to cuddle everyone to death. It’s so disgusting to see the walled gardens censoring, boycotting, deciding what is truth, interfering with ones beliefs and trying to modify them. Also everyone feels offended by so

Scrolling is horrifying on mobile phone (iPhone 6, iOS 12.4.8). I have to move it instead of letting it slide. Not sure why that is, maybe you’re taking over the scroll, or scroll listeners

Thank you for open sourcing these libraries. Your mindset of an app in an hours really strikes me as ple asant. I’ve used PHP Yii framework and everything used to work that way. From layout till auth till database modelling and generating e

On iOS there’s an option to “reduce white point”. This way you can get reallly low brightness and low contrast on your phone. I’m using it often during night. I suggest to add a accessibility shortcut to the triple click home to toggle it

This doesn’t strike me as a benefit. Soon you’ll have a multitude of apps and libraries instead of one framework to maintain, upgrade, refactor etc. The same goes for the idea of micro front ends being a collection of apps all in different

What strikes me is that it seems each side only thinks in the outcome of the others’ parties rethoric instead of the contents. Maybe that’s also what’s at core of the matter of this polarisation.
