I am not really buying the lack of participation in MLPerf. Just give us the numbers, don't skirt around about 'not being made for these benchmarks'.

Yes, it's the end of the road with me for Apple products. Might go for Pixel 6 + GrapheneOS, and Dell XPS instead of MBP. I am happy with their timing because I would have otherwise bought an iPhone 13 and be really annoyed if they ann

Im really starting to develop a visceral hatred for Apple. They are talking sanctimoniously about privacy out of one end of their mouth, put on a family friendly face by banning anything offending prude sensibilities, while having no qualms

I dont think this is cynical and I don't think it's a bad thing. OpenAI is not a huge org. The truth in 2021 is that not only is robotics 'just not there yet' in terms of being a useful vehicle for general intelligence r

As a FAANG employee, the way this typically happens is this: There is some sort of team reshuffle, someone moving to a new project and so on. Another team agrees to take on a high level IC (I assume this guy was at least L8-9). At that leve

Pushing back against ideas of critical race theory is important lest they dominate all our discourse and turn us all into victims.

I wonder how much of this is owed to the financialization of medicine where many patients especially in poorer areas are now not seeing a doctor but a 'nurse practitioner', where responsibilities are diffused by design.

My understanding used to be that this will not change much on an immediate basis since the nano-particle delivery system + its manufacturing chain are quite complicated and not easily scalable. Does anyone know if this is not the case?

Critical race theory in 2021 is so absurd that if you wrote a novel about it being used as a cultural weapon to destabilize societies it would be rejected. But it's happening and there are no signs of it slowing down yet.

I don't know why you are getting downvoted for this. AirBnb's valuation is basically extracted from society by pocketing the difference to anyone needing to follow regulations. AirBnB does not create value, it extracts it from com

I cringe every time I read startups proudly writing about their unique compensation philosophies. Almost without exception, they have to end up changing it and ending up with typical corporate structures. Because there is a reason for them.
