This article leaves out key details: it doesn't say what the distribution of the people arrested is, it only talks of how many died. What does "Assuming constant demographic profiles over the period considered, Black people are 6.

Yeah, "it depends" is almost always the right answer but not a very useful one. The devil is in the details, and I don't see any issue in discussing the nuances so people can apply them to their own situation to make their ow

What you say is somber but sadly hard to dismiss. AI is relatively new though (even deep learning didn't take off till 10 years back) and it's rapidly improving as it tackles low hanging fruit (relatively speaking), like writing s

Thanks for your response, but what I was looking for is your opinion on what is a better solution if IAM has all these issues. We're just starting the implementation, so this is very timely. In terms of our situation, we provide fine g

What in your opinion is a good/best implementation then? We're currently engaged in re-designing our authorization flow, and I was planning to use a model quite similar to AWS IAM (policies, etc.). Contrary to this article, I actu

Well, I've been a huge Go fanboy telling everyone who'd listen (or not!) why it's the best thing since sliced bread. I use Go for building servers at work and have been quite happy in general except for the verbosity. I had z

I've been coding professionally in Go and have recently switched largely to Rust. I feel Go is designed for junior developers: it's easy to get started, like with Python, but comes at the cost of verbosity and lack of expressivene

I don't know when you tried it, but I had a similar need (build a query parser for a tiny SQL subset in a day) a few weeks back, and it took me may be a couple of hours. Actually, picking the library was the more painful part, and this

I'm not sure if it is "difficult," I've always found it pretty straightforward. Sure, there will be differences, like types in Python vs. say Go, but we learn to switch context pretty comfortably over time (like we switc
