As a Brit who has visited Detroit, the city looks perfect for a tech hub. Empty homes and offices that need filling. Hip/artistic city that can encourage young people. Close to good universities in Ann Arbor & (East?) Lansing.

Indeed - I've no idea what the revenues would be - was just an idle thought. Right now the problem is getting people to believe in Facebook's revenue to get some confidence back in the market. Not saying it's is a silver bullet by any means

I'm always intrigued by Twilio hacks. I'm always intrigued by APIs that work in the 'real world' or have physical outputs - i.e. not just web apps talking to each other. Are there other examples of APIs like this? (e.g. MOO for printing)
