If the problem is technical, the candidates get their feedback immediately. Either they themselves know they botched up the question, or they are given the clue via absence of a follow up question. The best thing you could due to salvage su

Publishers are Google's product. The bans are a product quality assurance exercise for them. They do not really lose any business when they cut out a publisher. They almost always have plenty of other options to display their inventory on.

Selling your stuff(books, videos, seminars etc) beats any kind of advertising hands down. Selling your advertisement spots yourself is the second best, if you can pull it. Affiliate programs seem to do well for some bloggers. If you are aft

Are you aware of the fact that HN is open source? There's also Reddit and Lamernews. You can pick one and re-skin for your purposes I suppose.

I have a freemium app and I recently stopped asking for an account for the free tier. Traffic tripled and so did the premium accounts. So yes, I can attest that frictionless on boarding increases sales.

How's your retention rate? I'd bet your numbers are really bad and that's probably why you're not building any traffic. Your content is just not consumable. I clicked one of your links, it's just a wall of text. I couldn't bring myself to

I can walk into a phone shop and buy a contract-free, sim-free smartphone for £50. Sure, it's low end but it is a smartphone. It looks pretty upside-down to me.

How much runway do you have? If you have enough savings to survive without bringing a dime in for, say, 3 months, give it a shot. If things don't work out, you can always find another job.
