A show of hands type of poll web-application. I'll keep it small enough to be finished in the next 2 days.

You are aware of the fact that NK is PRC's puppet state, aren't you? NK will live on as it is, till PRC ceases tp support it.

There's a compiler that compiles c/c++ to xml. It's name esacpes me now, but a little bit of google-fu should do, XML to lisp should be relatively straightforward.

Did you notice the looters wearing a hoodie and a scarf? They are not identifiable by CCTV by doing that. No fear of being caught what so ever. I guess the only incidents CCTVs are useful are the £spur of the moment" crimes.

Getting a UK work visa is ridiculously hard these days. The economic downturn created a anti-immigration sentiment and the government changed their visa programs such that only 25000(if memory serves me right) a year can enter the UK for wo

You'll probably find out that many business owners would rather invest tjeir money in creating alternative revenue streams than paying into a strike fund.

Let's say, my app is making me $1000 a day. Apple wrongs one of the members, and union decides to strike. That will mean $1000/day in lost revenues. No thanks. I assume anyone with a slightly successful app will say "no thanks" too. Unions

Well, what are they going to do if you don't sign it? Fire you? Tell them, you won't, keep a copy of the mini-contract and signal that you are ready to lawyer up, if need be. In case they give you a bad reference for not signing, you can ta

You might try to mitigate your risk by spreading it on a number of developers. Can you divide the work into smaller chunks? You can hire different developers on part time basis, and then eliminate the one's you are not happy with and stick

Innovation has two main components, r&d and commercial application. While giant organizations produce decent amounts of r&d, it's generally small businesses that come up with the commercial applications. Hence, the myth.

There are a huge number of cycle helmet videos over Youtube, in most of them you can see that the driver is out to get the cyclist, probably because of clogging up a fast flowing road. It's not right but it's happening all the time.

I wonder how much of bicycle accidents are caused by frustration of drivers rather than not being able to notice the rider. This product might be trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

The ultimate transportation hack must be motorcycle and scooters. I was surprised to see so few of these in my travel to California. Given the climate, it should be a no brainer. Can anyone shed some light on why they are not popular.
