I think this is a good antithesis to some the hype that you read about growing a big business on the "next big thing", people taking millions from venture capitalists before selling to Google and the like. Rather it focuses on doing somethi

If it helps, Microsoft provide free Virtual PC images of IE6, IE7 and IE8 for compatibility testing. Only downside is they time expire after a few months when they provide a new version and you'll need to convert the virtual machine to anot

If you read, I did actually say that. FWIW, I intend to install some flavour of Linux (likely Ubuntu) when I get around to it. All the applications I use tend to be multiplatform these days so I'm OS neutral - there's honestly no applicatio

I bought a Dell M1330. It is: * Lighter than the Macbook (but there's not much in it) * Same screen resolution (1280x800) * Slot-loading disc drive, but with a DVD Writer * Nvidia 8400M compared to Intel X1300 graphics * Had 1gb more memory

If you're using the same values in 100 different places in a stylesheet you're frankly using them wrong. There's actually a decent point there - adding variables will undoubtedly encourage that sort of thinking and create further constant a

My own personal opinion is that whatever language you're using (or, indeed, in mathematics) using redundant brackets is generally the best idea anyway. Removes any ambiguity, easier to read, doesn't need you to remember precedence rules and

Actually the one thing that has put me off using one of these applications is the lack of availability of a library of decks and is probably the main advantage of a web-based approach. I'm not a fan of the over-proliferation of social netwo

This should be a bad hardware vs. good hardware debate, not a closed source vs. open source debate - people who try and turn these problems with an obviously poorly made product into an sort of 'open source debate' are missing the point.
