The only real advice here is: - Exercise only in the morning - Have lunch at the same time every day and eat nothing after 19:00 - Banish caffeine after 15:00 everything else is "stop being a night owl".

No, but the defense can and probably will subpoena these things. As a prosecutor you’d be dumb not to look at evidence you guess will come out at trial anyways.

I lived in Seattle for 7 years and got to know some Boeing project managers. The stories they told are very similar to this one. Apparently the life of a Boeing PM or Engineer is endless meetings, I asked one of my friends why this was the

Having a QA team, who are full fledged software engineers, who can provide formal correctness tests is the ideal situation. They’re developing a whole other project in isolation from yours and the only thing that needs to be agreed upon is

I am a "back-end" engineer that could be said to "look down" on front-end development, but the truth is more nuanced than that. I actually think really great front-end development, when necessary, is hard to do and the f

Is it the responsibility of any project/startup to find out who the LPs are for a VC fund? Sometimes this information is not only inaccessible, it would be illegal for you to know. Especially in a case where - wait for it - a sovereign

Your examples are decent. I think for Senior Engineers it is hard to target a specific set of advice, a blog is a good format for short and general advice. Hopefully, as a Senior Engineer your lessons are more nuanced and short, general adv

I agree with you. They called themselves Romans until the very end, and the claim isn’t dubious as all their institutions and wealth were from an unbroken Roman origin (well as unbroken as anything in pre-324 Roman history itself).

IMHO, it’s also some of the least interesting dev work you can do. A few people might get lucky and work on physics engines, but for everyone else it is basically a gigantic UI project with a ton of control flow and throwaway code.
