5:25, not terrible. Couple of them I was able to brute-force, some of them I realised the easy solution as I was brute-forcing! It's fun, :not(...) is godsend.

A little tip, you don't really have to generate the 5-letter word list, as Wordle's client-side script already does this validation over a known list of around 2200~ words. It's unobfuscated, you should be able to pick it up

Three. A hole is a distinct pathway from one open end to another. A regular cylindrical straw is a torus at heart, it has only one way through. A Y-straw would have three paths from its three openings.

Abstract answers it, it's in relative terms: In contrast, female players’ behaviour differs little as a function of the gender of opponents.

I do understand this very well as someone who builds process automation tools. There are infinite menial jobs to automate, but in the end the benefit is only realised by the capital owners and employers, rarely the employees.

Whatever wooden artifacts we have from back then usually have a lot of trouble making it to today; think professional tools versus apprentices' tools.

This feels very... style over substance? As if it was designed with a 'usenet was so hacker-cool' idea behind it.

Rogue nations may want to incite chaos and panic by means of lying about the snowfall in Portland, Oregon. Duh.

Yeah, as a youngling in Europe I feel like I'm about to get the shitty end of the stick by the time I hit my 30s. 600k/year (inflation-adjusted) seems like a pipe dream...

The problem is that people suffer the transition's consequences. The current state of affairs has driven a rather large part of the country's population, who share Western ideals and want to pursue them for their nation, prefer

Guh, I feel you on this one. I was shopping around for a buffering wrapper but soon realise that I either had to get basically a terminal Qt clone or raw bindings, nothing inbetween...

Article notes: a ≡ b (mod n) means that there is an integer x such that a + nx = b. A more intuitive explanation is that the reminder of a / n equals the reminder of b / n.

Nintendo sends cease and desists to a lot of free (as in beer or speech) projects. Some companies bully hard, I think Warner Bros is likely heavy-handed on Harry Potter.

The problem is that none of these posterisation algorithms (reducing bit depth of channels and optionally dithering) match the quality of somebody placing the pixels by hand. It always looks more like 'deep fried' images as oppose

That's the drug loop, seriously. The way people engage with social media is basically the same as a pothead with weed. Disclaimer: I do both, it's alright. I'm more worried about people who have 8 hours of phone screentime on

I'm old enough to have used IDEs, the issue is that my job involves dealing with multiple different languages and markup files. In turn, a general purpose editor with language servers just suits my workflow better.

Isn't it a luxury to be able to put down money for a journalism degree tuition in the US? I think this may already be explained quite well for the US higher education system, how do these ratios compare to journalism degrees'?

I think so called lower level infrastructure of our software and much better sandboxing capabilities of our operating systems brought us to where we are. Alas, most consumer software is arguably worse than before.

T-Mobile Thuis literally delayed the end of my subscription by two months, and only cancelled it when I called back. There wasn't ever a way to cancel online. In practice they've really been truly garbage, lawful or not.
