I do understand this very well as someone who builds process automation tools. There are infinite menial jobs to automate, but in the end the benefit is only realised by the capital owners and employers, rarely the employees.

- randomdata 5y agoWhen I was kid it was said that if you went to university and researched/developed your work there that you would be able to make more money. Idea being that the technology would become capital of your own, which you could offer to business under more favourable terms than if you were to create it for the business as an employee. I suppose in reality that there will always be someone willing to take the quick cash instead.
