You can increase food productuon in a variety of ways, and food production responds to market incentives. But the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and oceans is a math problem and doesn’t respond to market incentives: it is pure externality.

This is true, but you end up walking for about an hour and fifteen minutes a day to walk 7,000-10,000 steps. If you do this on top of drives to the store/work that’s a lot of your day. Whereas if your errands or commute involve walking

I used to have a 10,000/day goal. Recently switched to 7,000. I still regularly exceed that goal but realized not falling below 7,000 was important on days I wasn’t able to move as much. Interesting to see the threshold I chose has res

Does anyone know if lead levels matter much in adulthood? Found out my local water had lead, old municipal pipes. Drank it about ten years. Or possibly just two. Either way, wondering if I should be concerned or do anything beyond filtering

Most people have some kind of sleep deficit. Catching up on sleep isn’t oversleeping. Iirc there are more heart attacks the day after the change resulting in less sleep, and less the day after the change resulting in more sleep.

I’ve found a fairly simple method works well for me: * Cook your own meals. Focus on good oils (butter, coconut oil, olive oil) and high satiety ingredients. My go to is rice, steamed vegetables, and meat * Lift some weights. I do a HIIT ty

Spanish flu’s mega waves stopped though. My point is if covid keeps swamping us then we won’t be able to ignore it. Easy to say “I’m done with covid” at the bottom of a wave, which is where most of the world is now. (Referring to the popula
