How did you compile this 14 min after the article was posted?
- SideburnsOfDoom 5y agoLike it was pre-prepared. Climate change articles get quickly jumped on here with energetic negativity and are often flagged out. It's fascinating to watch; but a sign of a healthy debate, it is not.
- user982 5y agoThat account copypastes it into climate threads: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30258365 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30258365 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27447861 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27447861
- SideburnsOfDoom 5y agoIs there a way to flag accounts that copypaste talking points into these kinds of topics?
- egberts1 5y agoYes. It is called a “downvote” Meanwhile I got 27 up votes. Pitch in, accordingly to your needs.
- School-Cotton 5y agoWhy are you conveniently ignoring everyone asking you for sources?
- user982 5y agoClick the post's timestamp and tap "flag" and/or email concerns to hn@ycombinator.com.
- SideburnsOfDoom 5y agoI know about flagging posts, and that account's posts of this guff have been flagged before. I asked about flagging accounts
- user982 5y agoThen the second half of my response gave you the answer.
- YATA1 5y ago"Quick! How do we shut this down!? The narrative must be preserved!"
- SideburnsOfDoom 5y agoYou "flood the zone with crap" to shut it down. And that's what's happening. The above coppypasta is a prime example.
- egberts1 5y agoAnd maintained by me, an avid reader of printed newspapers to this day.
- sleepdreamy 5y agoYeah, I am skeptical.
- egberts1 5y agoLived in Los Angeles Greater Area pretty much most of my life. Still get that newspaper delivered to my doorstep from way over there.
- CommieBobDole 5y agoIt's mostly copy-pasted from this article: https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2019/09/20/nolte-climate-experts-are-0-41-with-their-doomsday-predictions/ https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2019/09/20/nolte-clima...
