While I agree with you that the Sierra book could have used a better editor, I still rather enjoyed it anyway. I finished it in one evening and was engrossed in the history of Sierra.

oh yes, I didn't mean to harp on you, what I meant is that I believe a lot of executives make the same calculation, oversimplifying things in the same way which leads to the repeated QA issues both Apple and Microsoft have or to the is

I think that's often the reasoning behind this but I think the oversimplification doesn't help. It's usually harder to attract new customers than to retain them so retention is important and regression bugs affect that. They

I don't think that Microsoft ever ran at 12 full-time given my experience with windows 9x... But then Joel is biased when it comes to Microsoft.

I think that it would be good to dedicate a few months with no new feature and just focus on fixing all the regression bugs, there's a lot of bugs that are reported for many months to a year seemingly without activity. I used to like I

I'm based in HK so prices are definitely lower since I can order directly from taobao. The purifier was around 350 usd, it's the Mijia Air Purifier MAX Enhanced Edition. For the sensor, I used an ESP32 with a small eink screen (fr

Having tested the DIY option versus some other air purifiers (xiaomi not levoit though), I do think that there are other considerations to take into account. A box fan with a HEPA filter bungee is loud and is very annoying to have at home.

I was starting to wonder too but then I updated to 11.6.1 and the problem disappeared so it would point to this being a software issue?

I'd say 2000s, 90s gave us windows 9x and ME which were far from being reliable. Same for Mac Os 7 & 8.

I love Apple's solution when it comes to localization, they will search both the non-localized name and the localized name. So if you're looking for Image Capture, you can find it with Transfert d'Image and with Image Capture
