As someone who has donated to Mozilla over the years and used Firefox as much as possible, this makes me very unlikely to donate in the future. People say that it's trivial to change. It's trivial to change for us who are technica

I actually still miss Watson/Sherlock. It was a great timesaver. I always wonder if Watson would have survived longer if Apple hadn't copied them and then let Sherlock to rot.

The way I see it, every customers who do not pay their card in full or who don't use credit cards subsidize my travels. It's honestly an extremely good deal for me and even if I pay 2.2% of every transactions, it's more than

I bought some sugru thinking it'd be useful but by the time I wanted to repair with it, it had been too long and it had hardened... If you have kids it might make more sense but otherwise, I think it's a difficult sell given the c

I'd argue though that given the current buggy state of macOs and ios, the awful keyboards on the recent mbps, the late release of a decent mac pro that Tim Cook is not demanding enough or doesn't actually get people to produce goo

Like a few here, I'd gladly pay $120 or more for a two volume hard cover version. Do consider doing a kickstarter or other form of crowdfunding. I've been reading the book and it's a real trip down memory lane :) And in term

You can go to another country where college is much less expensive or free (like France or Germany, some of those countries even subsidize the apartment rent for students). It takes grit to force yourself to learn a different language but i

In Europe, I always check the price directly from the hotel, if it's last minute, I check hotels tonight and if the price is really much cheaper in booking.com, I call the hotel and get them to match the price. I sometimes use hotels.c

That's not exactly the fault of booking.com though. Hotels have learned that if they want people to book directly with them (which gets them more money), they need to make it attractive to customers. They can't really offer a lowe

British airways PE is actually not that bad. It's not as good as Cathay Pacific's but the hard product is quite good. Pitch is 38 inch (same as Cathay's) so it's good enough, it's not that wide at 18.5 inch (1 inch
