From: http://mjg59.livejournal.com/94905.html "Anyway. Accusing companies of conspiring against us when the most likely explanation is simply that they don't care is a fucking ridiculous thing to do and does nothing to get rid of the impr

I tink it's dumb to remove the comments from code, although I agree with making symbol names more meaningful. In the original post, the comment // square root of n with Newton-Raphson approximation Is removed and replaced with the improved

This is strange. I am one of them red/green colorblind (basically, some shades of green look brown to me, that's the best I can describe it), but the "how it looks to the colorblind" image looks different than how it looks to the non-color

I just think that it's gonna be hard for anyone who can do something about this to give a sh*t. Anti-trust instead of false advertising? Now I know for a fact nothing's gonna happen. Anti-trust cases are about the hardest to do. Anti-tru

Well, you guys can mod me down all you want, but the fact remains, they said the motherboard itself is not certified for Linux, so putting Linux on it is a gamble, regardless of the ACPI standard. "Run an O/S we support, and tell us if the

For me, with deletion, in all cases it's better. Given that it's sometimes really hard to undelete (or technically impossible, as in the case of an FTP client, for example), I'd rather get the confirmation box before the deletion is done.

But it's still not Linux certified. About the DMCA, yes it sucks, and yes, it would be irrational to sue because of that, that's why it would be interesting. Anyway, not that I am hoping for that. Stupid laws should go away.

This guy has a cheapskate attitude. Have him show a way to delete something without warning that I will not regret later... All he talks about is message boxes that inform you of something. And yes, I want some message boxes to make me th

If the questions were asked honestly, then you would have cited your sources. To be honest, I really don't care about neither the IQ issue nor about the answer. I just thought the questions themselves were very leading. The answers don't

RE: Bill Gates, 1983: "We will never make a 32-bit operating system." I have to admire a guy that makes a mental mistake (or rather, limits himself, as in this case), and then goes full-on to prove himself wrong. I think if you were to look

Memo to self: MAKE IT FIT. VCs don't give a crap. They should not. Neither should your banker, mother, potential business partner/co-founder, etc... The onus is on you, the founder(s), to be articulate enough to make it fit. The focus is
