Amen to that! It's the only refuge from all the trash out there. Hopefully fanboys will never invade it...

Suggestions: 1) Talk to others who got sued, form a single group, hire a lawyer, and fight like hell 2) Talk to others who got sued, and as a group, talk to Amazon and all the other who are big and did not get sued, and cooperate to get a d

Of course, outsource if it makes sense. Don't drop the ball though, manage it. 80/20 rule still applies, take full advantage of it.

Hmm, excellent points in the article... I have to take those arguments into account, as my company sells software. It's not about avoiding open source, it's about removing all doubt as to the origin and ownership of the software.

One thing that is a little confusing about the site are the images at the bottom: They are too zoomed in... Are these images meant to be abstract? It's almost like a puzzle to figure out what they are: - The leftmost image: Just plug in

Exactly. A good working environment. Fun. A good employee of the week/month/etc prize. Drawings for events. Giveaways. The list goes on and on.... None of these buys are for a single piece either. That's why corp accounts are good bus

I think 200 nipples is the biggest factor of this thing... Forget about selling stuff to corporate clients (I'd rather buy somewhere else than explain to my A/P person why I bought something at "200 nipples" and can she please pay the bill)

One more vote for the confused user... I had to read the "Get to the sites you always visit, and see when they are updated" several times to even guess what your site does. Are you talking about a bookmark repository (ok, "homepage") that

That's fine, no one is trying to convince you. I personally have no stake at all in changing your mind, nor did I imply so. Don't feel threatened. I was just trying to say that people identify themselves with a viewpoint and then their eg

Why people can't accept evidence? What do you know as "truth"? Just look at the title of the article: "Acupuncture 'no help for IVF'" See the single quotes around the key statement? Even the reporter does not want to endorse the truthful

It's great to see Google has a brain about this. XML is sooo hyped up, and there are so many fan boys that it's generally not worth getting into a discussion about its merits lest you start a religious war. It's cool that Google looks bey

I've been doing that for some time. I charge extra for: 1) Signing NDAs - Projects under NDA get a premium charge of about 33%-50% 2) Releasing rights to the source code to the client - Premium of about 100% (I see this the other way aroun

There is a fine line between fraud and salesmanship... This is actually one of the things that lawyers learn at law school... What I would do is not listen to that. They have their job (selling the software) and you have yours. If they c

The site has great potential... but it's essentially worthless as is. Several reasons: 1) Only short code snippets. It does not take much to write a brilliant 10 lines of code. Give me at least code for a well-designed class. 2) No comme
