Probably is no breakthrough, other than solving a common problem with a reusable approach. It is wasteful to have every satellite carry the weight of its own propellant and engines. Having a single device that can deliver quite a few satell

Range anxiety is definitely a thing, especially if you've never driven an EV and have heard it exists. The issue is a non-issue for most Tesla buyers who have home charging. The situation will hopefully resolve itself unquestionably in

It began selling in large quantities and more locales. Word of mouth, access to test drive, and the vast amount of internet/media hype, and nearly comparable performance could combine to reduce likelihood to buy above the 3.

Nissan Leaf has been on the market with a low price much longer. Sales have slumped since the Model 3 scaled up, news about their battery overheating, and their refusal to produce a vehicle with larger range. It is not a Tesla killer, but w

Every electric car slated to arrive has been called a Tesla killer in article after article, sometimes individually, often as a collective. Several of them are targeting Tesla owners with discounts, ads at superchargers, etc... The companie

The thing that surprises me most not how bad each interface is, but that no 2 interfaces, even at the same chain or sometimes the same store, are ever the same. On top of that, how can every one of those unique combinations be so consistent

It is easy to lookup or ask the meaning of the 1-3 words you don't know in a sentence. It is best to always have some percentage of the content not be what you know, otherwise you will plateau. If you are speaking/writing, much ea

The Methane leaking is a huge unknown. It isn't regulated, but is known to be quite high for any given site and along pipelines. As it is a very potent greenhouse gas, the effects could be significant. To be clear, both are bad and I h

Revenue is not profit. Only a percentage will go to Google. It is still a big number and certainly profitable, but developing/maintaining the store and Android are both very expensive.

If you want to make a service with positive environmental impact and positive financials, you have to start somewhere. The place you start is likely to be close to your expertise. In Ecosia's case, it could scale massively and they cou

Average is the worst case, as everyone has to deal with it. The chance of anything going wrong with a modern nuclear facility is astronomically low.

It depends, of course. If replacing most rides in a car, definitely better. If replacing rides on a non-electric bike, it still could be a positive if it encourages biking further and getting out more. Would also love to see the study exten

I stopped reading novels for a long time because of this. Focused on the voice reading the audio of the words, while ingesting little of the content's meaning. I've intentionally practiced reading aloud lately to counter it. (onl

Should be falling relatively slowly at that point. Helicopter can be pretty distant until the rocket has slowed and stabilized, and then always remain above it. The chance of two things that small in 3D space hitting is pretty small.

Hotels suck. They are just a room with a free water bottle and the same bland furniture. For the same price you can get a super nice house that has a pleasant atmosphere and feels like it is meant to have people living in it. It is a bonus

You will care when someone steals your number, although it likely won't be from the card. Banks will often make you jump through hoops when something goes really wrong, even when they are at fault.

Some delay from many producers is almost certainly intentional. Live content providers want to be able to have a second to cut a stream if something unexpected (profanity, nudity, injury...) occurs on set.
