I don't think Japan is any different than the USA here. If you go look at paperback novels in the USA they are 95% all the same width and height, only the thickness changes. https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-stack-of-sc

This is just plain false. Google attractiveness and bald. Lowering your possible attractiveness by 75% to 50% is not an easy choice. Your confidence has nothing to do with it. Especially in a world where people are chosen via pictures. It w

No logo? So the Apple logo is ok? My 2017 14" 1060 Razer seemed exactly like a black Macbook Pro (which I also owned at the same time). Metal case, Razer logo where the Apple logo was. HD-DPI display.

I'm sure this is worse because of WFH but I experienced this at FAANG before WFH. The teams are giant, there's a huge list of things to work on, pick one, do it mostly on your own. Loneliest job I ever had. Yea there were co-worke

I would argue the issue is there are only so many people talented at this particular skill, "making a meet up that works" and so it doesn't scale. There are all kinds of issues. Setting an agenda. Getting people to follow the

I'm I alone in thinking the new timer app UI sucks? The old app where it used a spinner to set an alerm time and where I had N alarms that I could edit was simple and easy to use. The new app where hour and minutes are separate text fi

I've thought about trying to start some movement, not sure how to spread the word, that each open source project on github should make a "thank you" issue and pin it as a place for people to say thank you. AFAIK It's fro

I'm going to say I find this a very poor POV. The Christian POV is basically, "it doesn't matter how bad your life is because it will be great in the after life". In other words the good parts are ahead, period. But if y

Obviously if you think digital nomad live is for you then go for it. For me I want friends and companionship. My experience is that's not what nomads get. Friends requires you to be near by and spend time when them else they drift way.

No, you can't. I'm in my mid 50s. I can't go back and change my decision (non-decision decision) to not have a family. I wanted one. The choices I made or the chances that came by depending on how you look at it got me where

Let's not forget the international headaches. This is an issue in both iOS and Mac app stores. Certain apps are (arguably rightly) only available in certain regions (like banking apps) but Apple's poor design means you now have to

I agree 100% something is wrong. What's curious to me is why it's not fixed. It's possible it's impossible to make anime and pay a good wage I suppose but ... assuming it is possible you'd expect some animators to q

Why do you need coders knowledgeable in WASM? The majority of coders will use something else (C, C++, Rust, C#, etc.) The majority of them don't need to know the details of the processor their compiler is targeting.
