What if you want to make two separate ad campaigns? One targeted to men and one to women. This has yielded the best results in a previous company. We hired x5 the women (tech industry) just because we changed the wording a bit.

Would love to see this added to Youtube's autogenerated subtitles! It would be a significant improvement.

I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure tiling functionality can be plugged in (i.e. some special snap app like gnome-snap, or something similar)

Very interesting indeed. I have dwelled with Marx a bit, and I too was surprised about the lack of a blueprint on how it should work.

Not entirely related, but always amazes me: In the US, the word “socialism” seems to be confused with ”communism” like they were exchangeable. Mostly like people think vegan and vegetarian are the same thing. Nazis and Soviets were both soc

Super late to the party but, if you love OCaml and ML languages, check out Elixir. Runs on the Earlang machine and this inherits all its libraries. It takes more than a page from patterns and conditional method bodies. Love it.

Nice article but I'd point out two things: 1. 'Death' is a bit too extreme. I think everybody is excited at first and tries to find an excuse to use microservices. We're assisting to a decline in that initial push, that&

Very nice piece. "Swap is primarily a mechanism for equality of reclamation, not for emergency 'extra memory'. Swap is not what makes your application slow – your lack of physical memory is what makes your application slow.&q

People usually dive into Elixir expecting Ruby, but it’s a very different language. Most of this confusion comes from not wanting to sit down and read a good book about it. The only thing it takes from Ruby is variable and namespace naming

Just in case you didn’t read it right: 30-40% of Catalonia, which in whole is less than 20% of Spain’s population... so that’s like a 5-7% of Spanish population? The constitution is for all Spaniards.
