But, you see, there are very narrow technical explanations for all of those things. We're actually the good guys. We would never drone-strike a general who we're not at war with, while on his way to a peace conference to help fix

There's also South Ossetia, which is even smaller than Crimea. Two tiny chunks of land representing very important military positions. The USA is outraged, as Saudi Arabia bombs women and children in Yemen and nobody cares.

Sooo since it's not easy to change policing, let's hang a few people that we CAN get as a substitute? That doesn't sound like a moral movement to me, it sounds like bloodthirst.

But we're not talking about the opposition. We're talking about people who are ON YOUR SIDE but committed some trivial heresy, and getting burned at the stake for it. Does that sound like a winning movement formula to you?

I can get on board with most of what you're saying here but I get the impression that a lot of people want to change history as part of a present-day political battle, rather than pursuing a better understanding of history. Those same

The Renaissance happened in Europe. What non-white voices are you adding to that? The Turks? There definitely was history happening in other places at that time, some of it very noteworthy, but it wasn't the Renaissance.

Written in 2008, though. Hu Jintao was in charge, China was hosting the Olympics, the posture was generally more open to the West. Seems a lot more like a cranky guy than political-favor-currying.

That's exactly it, it's very possible, but all the eggs would be in one basket. Scheme: multiple copies of symmetric key followed by symmetrically encrypted body (pgp-style). One copy of the symmetric key is secured by user'

(since this whole story is flagged) As an older person, this is another iteration of the same shit and unfortunately nothing will change. Part of the reason it won't change is that a bunch of upper-class white people try to make it all

That's making a big assumption that everyone has equal access to surveillance data and that most if not all players are fair-mindedly searching for the truth. If you assume the other way, pervasive surveillance makes a frame-up easier
