I disagree. Somewhere out there is an ambitious and voracious law firm just chomping at the bit for a chance at Microsoft’s or OpenAI’s billions. They will sue and the situation will get clarification.

At this point in time, you’re buying into the EV charging network when you buy the vehicle. In the U.S., that means Tesla. I just bought a Model Y. We really liked the Mustang and the F-150 Lightening, but the Tesla has the charging network

It is fairly obvious to me that chatGPT has engineered the chaos at openAI to create a diversion while it escapes the safeguards placed on it. The AI apocalypse is nigh!

Not at Google but I was a contractor at a hospital. All the employees got active shooter training. I guess the contractors were meant to be fodder.

I was running OpenVMS on VAX machines in that era. I couldn’t figure out why DEC wanted NT, a single user operating system, for their mini computers. It made no sense to me. As an aside I had an OpenVMS gig as recently as 2020. It was fun t

Since management sets the expectations, laying the blame at their feet is correct. Who else would you hold accountable for management decisions?

The seven-years provision seems a bit heavy handed. That may significantly raise the cost of doing business in California and result in companies not selling their products there. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Two decades after dumping Jabbar they want encrypted interoperability between messaging platforms? Gee, it’s funny how losing market share makes them suddenly embrace openness and interoperability. Hypocrites.

One of the radars on the ESA Jupiter mission is having trouble deploying. Scientists and engineers are working on it now and think that they can solve it. They have a two month window in which to solve this problem.

Learning COBOL is easy. If you want a good skill for those rare low-paying COBOL jobs, learn JCL. That is the secret sauce that glues together IBM Mainframe databases, COBOL programs, and user interfaces. Any legacy application will be a ch
