I use this to create alerts in a dedicated #social-watch Slack channel, it's great for topic discovery. I wish other social media had built-in RSS (similar to how Reddit does it).

I recently found Responsively [1], which looks a lot like OP's Sizzy [2], but I doubt it's about those apps, because Sizzy has been shipped for a while now, and Responsively is free (Kitze mentions paying in the article). [1] htt

Interesting approach, would the code sent to the user be a TOTP ? Because a 5 digit code holds much less entropy than traditional passwordless tokens, it would be easier to brute force if the validation endpoint is not properly implemented

Is this service open-source and publicly auditable ? Because we've learned not to trust one's word of "don't be evil", only facts matter. If you say the service is anonymous and does not leak data, prove it.

In theory, yes. But I consider Google an enemy of privacy, and I would rather burn my servers to the ground than sell them my product. The encryption provides some protection for me: the data I acquire does not accumulate value over time (u

E2EE means the analytics data is encrypted by the visitor, using public key cryptography. The secret key to decrypt that data is only known of the website owner. Anything I store is encrypted, including that secret key, and the source key i

I agree that giving someone else your data is the issue. But as an alternative to self-hosting, I'm working on an end-to-end encrypted approach [1]. I can offer a service (much easier to setup and maintain than self-hosting), but I don

Possibly, I'm not using the DNT header though, because of the encryption, I need to know about DNT before the analytics data is even sent. I use navigator.doNotTrack, and where it's set I only encrypt and send a minimal visit coun

Firefox's settings (as of v77) still allow you to set (or unset) DNT, and I honor that. For Safari unfortunately, Apple chose to remove this feature because it could be used for fingerprinting, so there is not much to be done here.

I'm working on an end-to-end encrypted analytics SaaS, to try and solve the "putting your eggs in someone else's basket" problem, while offering something simpler than self-hosting. I'm collecting feedback and looki

I use Slack to get notifications on new articles (I then read them on the original website), and it does not resolve to /feed. Is there a standard for feed paths (/rss.xml seems common) that readers crawl when given a URL ?

The entire point of end-to-end encryption is to prevent this from being automated and abused by either the legal system or the company. Requiring a warrant to access the secret key on the user device reduces the risk of mass surveillance. M

The idea is not to move the password, or any derived key, but the clear-text data. GDPR and other laws enforce that you give customers the right to access their data (in clear text), if possible in an interoperable form. Notion does so in C

You derive a master key from a password, and use that to encrypt other keys, or a more complex key chain if needed. You then only sync encrypted keys with the server.

The one thing that bothers me about Notion (and Slack and other "everything in one place" tools), is the lack of encryption. I might have FAANGophobia, but whenever there is a free tier without a form of end-to-end encryption in p

For VSCode users: I've been using the CodeSnap [1] extension which lets you do similar code screenshots without leaving the editor. [1] https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=adpyke.c...
