This reminds me of my previous job, where we built a "modular synthesiser" [1] with compile-time patch generation. Each module's connections and parameters was described in an external file, parsed and interpreted at compile

Ca peut être toxique par moment en effet. Dans les préférences de HN, il y a un mode `noprocrast` qui te bloque l'accès au bout d'un certain temps passé dessus, c'est bien pratique. Dans le même style, une extension [1] pour

Congrats on the funding, but I'd like to know what prompted the name change. ZEIT sounded mysterious and edgy, while Vercel sounds like a company selling expensive handbags (to me).

This, plus the infinite reply indentation lead to some very interesting conversations with my friends, which turned out to be an unreadable mess only days later. It was great for real-time brainstorming though.

If the JavaScript bundle that is being served is built on a public CI/CD service, it could be possible to do the following, for transparency and verification: - Include in a header comment: the build URL, Git SHA-1 of the commit, and o

Adding to the pile of similar approaches, there's TypeBox [1] which uses JSON Schema as an intermediate artifact (validation can happen with ajv or other libs), and extracts static types for TypeScript. Having the JSON Schema intermedi

Another point in favour of this model: as the business is in control of the credit, they can implement custom flows of this virtual money bag without hitting any charges. Famous example being the $20 offered when signing up on some hosting

It depends on the type of service, setting up new accounts to dodge charges can be very annoying if there's any kind of data to move around, and it would be easy to spot for the service provider.
