That's a lesson many CS or maybe even all STEM grads have to learn at some point. Especially politics is more complicated than any code you can design. There is quite a bit of elitism when programmers talk about real-life events but ad

Those delivery services employ many lawyers and bet on the fact that a family owned restaurants doesn't have the guts or money to sue. Truly despicable.

I recently watched a documentary about aluminum smelting and this topic came up. An engineer said that they have a 6 hours time frame. If the power doesn't come back on, the aluminum hardened too much and all smelters are lost forever.

I don't see how having "NaN" or "undefined" in a number field makes any difference to just putting the value there. If you are using a strongly typed language, this will not be a problem. SQLite made a design choice

SQLite just does what JavaScript and other weakly typed languages do. The developer is responsible for what they input. If type checks are a must, SQLite is just not for you, easy as that.

Microsoft is selling it as a package deal. .NET and VS go hand in hand. The current LTS release of .NET Core 3.1 has a broken socket implementation that can lead to deadlocks on Linux and macOS. Microsoft will not fix it in 3.1 LTS and reco
