Sure we paid. Little by little, over our taxes. Our European income taxes are not higher than NYC's combined taxes, though, and European healthcare is vastly cheaper than American healthcare.

When my wife gave birth in Europe the 11 hour procedure, which apart from the traditional medical stuff, included massage and acupunture for relaxation, involved a handful of nurses, 3 midwives, 2 doctors, an anesthesiologist etc. After the

I don't think it's either or. I think most people try to drive carefully but we make mistakes, and so do pedestrians. For those situations it would be nice with a reduced risk. Now, there are other reasons I wouldn't want to buy a Volvo but

The risk of hitting someone is one of the worst things about driving. I would gladly pay a bit to minimize the risk of killing someone.

I don't agree. I'd rather have the - sometimes - incompetent, corrupt and selfish democratically elected politicians of the US or Europe, than the 'benevolent dictator' (even if he existed). I really like the idea of democracy that much. It

Oh, but Singapore is a police state (a state where the government exercises rigid and oppressive laws). It is also a dictatorship. It may not be the worst of its kind in that it actually has (the thin conception of the) rule of law, but it'

True. So do you offer lower prices for clients with higher volumes? I mean, you don't want to loose clients just as their business takes off... In any case, I like to see competition in the this market so good luck :-)

People laugh when they hear a "sexist" joke because it's funny. Maybe gender related jokes don't have a place at conferences and work places - I am not sure - but there should be room for jokes about genders somewhere, right? I mean, where
