I do similar but with hugo markdown and a git repo linked with cloudfare - then it’s hosted on their static free hosting.

(TW: Suicidal ideation) I fight with ADHD and depression and am in a relationship that’s at best moderately containing some … issues. But things are improving. Sometimes when I was younger (am mid 40’s now), I would fight such depression I

I don’t think people “think” otherwise, but they do apply human “ideals” or “emotion” to corporate action and while corps are run by humans they are not themselves human, obviously. So it’s a slippery distractive slope.

It’s a corporation. It is never about community. Only ever profit. The manufactured fracture of us vs them is a tactic of distraction.

Right. They’re also in the “manufacture consent” business - and UAPs mean “possible enemy tech we need to race to beat,” when needed as a reason. The military is not into scientific rigor as much as it is into blowing things up and support

Using the metric “can reason” on a LLM is like using the metric “can bleed” on a stone. Maybe some red stuff comes out when you break it. Is it blood, or is it something pumped into the other side?

You mentioned biology early in your reply. Computers are not biological. Therefore (imho) they will never obtain, and only replicate by trained example, the phenomenological human experiences.

Bullshit? Why so harsh? If our brain is a bunch of processes and chemicals - then does all of this matter in the end? Superior? No. Religion? No. Philosophy? Yes.

I’d call it “meeting spec as defined.” And that’s the whole problem with this AI / llm / gpt bubble: Nobody has scientifically or even simply defined the spec, bounds, or even temporal scope on what it “means” to “get to ai.” Corp

No, it does not become a reasoning task. The human asking “are you sure?” is actually just inputting words into the model. The model outputs what it predicts a statistically normal output would fit in the context given. Truly “llm” and t

It has trouble “reasoning” because that is a human phenomenon. These ML driven LLMs or “AI” systems are, truly, “word calculators.” They will never achieve “reason” or understand what it means to do so; they are not human. Sure, with enough

It really sends home the concept behind the phrase, “ain’t no war but class war.” This “ruling” class just does the theater to keep us in the, sometimes actual, dark.

I can’t, for the life of me, understand how anyone thought “public ledger” meant “hide transactions.” It’s the same concept as tor, in a way: once you get it out, that’s the nucleation point for tracking.

What happens to your variable interest rate loan if that happens? On a 50k loan does your monthly go from 300 to like 3k??

It’ll be nice when invites open up or I come across one. APIs/interfaces like this are fantastic to watch grow or contribute to on new platforms.

I basically do this too but also do it in markdown and use Obsidian to link to others, etc. Still hit the cli though and grep/ripgrep all the time, it’s just so fast.

Why are you shocked? Starbucks employees have formed unions and tipping is still allowed. Wanting tipping is a signal that pay is not high enough - you see it here, with the reactions. A deeper look might reveal they could be paid more.

My problem with yt music is that certain albums will ask you if you approve playing, even with age and content restrictions off. Rage Against The Machine’s first album has “disturbing” album art. It asks for EVERY song. Song in a playlist?

That’s not at all how realistic migration from one to another job works. Be honest and remind yourself, these are humans. Not corporations. There is no “other” employment when, in certain areas, every job at this “level” is like this o
