I've had four different companies and I've always worked on new ideas on the side. I don't know how the people that stay focused on one idea for years at a time do it. My brains not wired that way and I'm guessing yours isn't either.

Everyone wants to do something really "big" that they're really excited about. If you've found that really big idea then sure, move on. If not keep in mind that your passion for whatever you do next will someday wane as well.
