From the article: > In March, we launched a new self-bag drop system at San Jose International Airport, where guests can save up to a little more than four minutes. It's clearly designed to be used in combination with the above.

The A321 is not wider than an A320. The A320 family[1] comes in a variety of sizes and configurations to support different profiles, but they are all variations in length, fuel capacity and MTOW. Making a plane longer is relatively straight

Well in fairness England was only unified in 927 CE and there are families who have been there longer than that.

Seems a bit random -- QF1 works, QFA1 doesn't. SQ208 doesn't work, SIA208 does. But SQ21 works and SIA21 doesn't, so it's not even consistent within airlines. Might be related to whether or not the flight is currently ac

I'm not trying to be snarky, but I don't know how you could miss the backup feature[1] of iTunes (now built into Finder on Mac), given it's been a feature of the iPhone ecosystem well before iCloud was even a thing. You are r

This is largely a myth. A rotating bicycle wheel does generate a small amount of gyroscopic effect, but it is too small in comparison to the weight of bike & rider to make much difference. People have built bicycles with counter-rotatin

It's funny MW would advocate the somewhat awkward "semi-" constructions rather than suggest the perfectly cromulent word "fortnightly."

Those are the minimum requirements before you can apply. To actually get the Work Permit issued, you must justify your need to MoM.

Singapore is not perfect, of course, but the common problems with FDW working conditions are pretty well-documented. You are just making wild assertions to the benefit of nobody.

This is a pretty poor take. In order to get a permit to hire an FDW in Singapore, there has to be a demonstrated need, i.e. to care for young children or the elderly.

There are a few inaccuracies here. The minimum rate for FDWs from Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Philippines is S$450, S$497, S$550 and S$570, respectively per month. Experienced FDWs (5+ years) can earn S$700-$850 SGD. Usually FDWs

I don't think that's an appropriate term for Singapore, at least. The FDW can resign at any time (whether their contract is finished or not), in which case the employer is obligated to return them to their home city. There is a ma

FDWs in Singapore are usually live-in, the employer is required to provide appropriate living arrangements, food, medical care and insurance. Most FDWs will remit most of their salary to their home country, where SGD$600 will go a long way.

It's hard to do an apples to apples comparison as the A380 was one of the few (only) modern planes to feature a first class. To compare across the same airline, SIA long-haul configuration for the A350-900 is 253 pax in 3-class vs 443
