Meanwhile a16z regularly rejects profitable businesses because they "don't have a path to 1B". Well, congrats, Helium is worth $1.2B and generates $6,500 a month in revenues (1). I am not anti-crypto - but I am becoming incre

So the game is pay to win - otherwise some 16 year old would be at the top of the ranks with no money invested. I heard a rumor the match making service is wholesale copied from StarCraft 2 - on that game if you win about 10 times in a row

Exactly. The impulse to make legislative government nimble and powerful is a strange one. Should it not be considerate and slow? "Who governs least, governs best", etc. Moving quickly is the executives job.

Oh absolutely - totally agreed about folks who’s jobs this is or who’s revenue it represents. I am more flabbergasted by the “boycott” from normal customers who are apparently outraged they won’t be seeing ads they already agree with.

Erm - those aren’t ads? If you’re already paying and there is product on the shelf of the store you’re already inside of… that’s just a product.

I would be cautious of making group generalizations like that. If a couple idiots who call themselves physicists publish a terrible paper -- that doesn't indict all of psychics . Covid made every amateur virologist and wanna-be-scient

Nice! We consider Umbrel a bit of a sister company :) They are more crypto focused, and we're more self-hosting focused, but we overlap in many ways. Umbrel software runs great on our hardware!
