Well if I sit in a meeting with 2 programmers who work 80h+ to produce value for the company, 2 consultants, 2 managers, 2 architects, each of them earning 3x-10x of what the programmers earn, but all living off of what the programmers prod

It might be correct if that would be what happens. However people who create more are usually at the bottom end of the food chain in our current system. People who don't do much more than play political games usually end up at the top,

One might also argue that the real thing didn't happen yet though. Just because a lot of people attach a label to themselves and then other people come and use that label to do PR against them doesn't mean it was correct in the fi

Basics are missing, e.g. don't run privileged containers, don't give all your pods cluster-admin rights, don't allow random hostpath mounting. (You would be surprised how much software couldn't run if this would really b

Most Network protocols are a state machine in the kernel. That the end result of a tcp state machine is a communication between two computers is more of a lucky coincidence, that results from smart state machine design.

There is the idea of "high level concepts", concepts that build on top of other concepts. So it's probably impossible to explain without some insight knowledge into operating systems, programming, multi processing, security,

go back to the top level of this discussion and ctrl-f for "runc" then it becomes more clear. Docker is more than we usually think it is, because it makes all the stuff around containers so easy to use.

It makes sense for a logical perspective, but in practice that's not how it works. In reality if something breaks, and you are stupid enough to mention it, then (a) you are considered an a-hole for blaming <responsible-person-for-to
