Yeah doesn't take much these days. I played with dhewm on a surface go, and performance was amazing for a dinky 6W cpu even with the high dpi display.

It was Washington that waived sanctions in 2021 to allow NS2. It is only on Russian mobilization that the policy changed. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57180674

Doesn't sound like you have the time to remove the drive, because it's about the same amount of work as a battery swap these days. I went that route last time I needed a keyboard replacement under warranty. I don't think ther

You can't stop bribes without making legislative votes secret again. There's always a way to thread kickbacks to skirt any law. The only solution is to remove the feedback mechanism.

Biden said this on February 7th. On the 22nd the German Chancellor suspended it's certification. There's no reason to sabatoge the pipeline when a year before it was Biden who waived sanctions on it. What changed both country&#x27

We have established norms for these situations. Utilities are one special case. Common carriers another. Social media is neither of these. I don't rely on it to sustain my life, nor access government services. If we're going to re

Not sure about this particular solution, but I really think antitrust is where it's at. Big companies should do big things, not collect many little things under their umbrella. If you're going to do big things (or even big collect

I settled on pam_env and ~/.pam_environment for handling these. Required a small change to pam config to load it by default, but it felt like a sane solution at the time.

It has nothing to do with being good or bad. Might is right. Being morally good doesn't prevent harm from coming to you unless an effectively mightier faction deters it.

One proposed solution is to get rid of Sunshine laws. Make legislative votes secret again, and legislators are harder to hold to account. Cuts both ways, but it might have an outsized effect on moneyed interests' ability to buy their w

I have some dells (U2414H) that can get into a really bad state. Sometimes unplugging power is not enough. You have to remove all potential power inputs including display input cables (or shut those devices down too) to get a proper reset.
