urxvt. It's very fast. I do a non-scientific benchmark of 'time find ~'. After repeats I see: urxvt=3.86s, alacritty=4.25s, kitty=7.62s, xterm=14.04s. (That xterm time feels suspect, I remember it being faster) Mostly it was

Modify ~/$XDG_DIRNAME_DIR/user-dirs.dirs (usually ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs). You can just point them all to $HOME if you don't want any sub-directories created.

Has DLP gotten any better? I had a rear projection DLP TV. The bulbs are a decent cost, but then your DLP 'micromirrors' start to fail and the cost isn't really worth maintaining. If that's heat related then I guess the

You can also attribute those to supply chain issues. Government fiscal policy can't be the scapegoat for issues affecting the entire world (not arguing they don't have influence).

Things aren't "proper fucked" though. Supply chains were just too slow to recover to meet our demand. Lots of things were overpriced/overvalued. The economy is going to retract as a result. Things will cycle once more, a

What were non-immunizing vaccines called before? I've seen "intramuscular virus injection", but I don't think that was ever a layman's term. Have we not always had the concept of sterilising immunity, and therefore

Doesn't address the first-past-the-post issue, nor that third parties are sometimes promoted by one of the major parties as a spoiler (questionable effectiveness). Things are just a lot more complex than the article wants to deal with.

I bought the Lenovo 10e tablet for $100 ($90+case) and it has 1920x1200 display. Trade offs: 10.1 inch display, mediatek cpu, tablet (no stand/keyboard). Not the normal price (seeing $334 now), but that was direct from Lenovo.

Doesn't make sense. We already had non-herd immunity producing vaccines for flu. That covid vaccines produce the same outcome isn't a particularly special case. It's not even that complex to understand the WHY they don't

I put it on a 2012 Macbook Air about a month ago. Things went pretty well. Having a reasonable amount of drive space for the Linux environment was nice for once. The keyboard backlight was non-functional, but otherwise hardware seemed to wo

Neither could. Critical race theory isn't prescriptive. Black Lives Matter is, but advocates for equal outcomes (primarily in policing). This isn't Marxism, but just regular justice. The only thing Marxist about them is that the r

Just explain why Republicans defend confederate statues... There is little to associate the modern Republican party with, for example, Lincoln's party. Are Republicans of today going to enforce those reparations you're waiting on?

You invite coercion and retaliation when ballots aren't secret. Corruption can and does happen in either case, but we don't need to enable other bad behaviors. Transparency and sunshine laws are not a panacea.
