Fastmail is a webapp, and it's very obvious. I use it out of laziness, because I don't use email on my phone that much. I wish they'd make a proper mobile client, but I don't think they care, since it's been like th

In some cases, yea probably. But many things I'm asked to rate, the baseline expectation is that the product or service just works like it's supposed to. For the EV charger, my car is either charged or it isn't. If it is, you

Apple charging cables aren't designed to be plugged into anything. Their cables are notoriously terrible. I had a lightning cable on my nightstand that I plugged my phone into at night a few times a week. After less than two years the

I ran OwnCloud for a while, until that project died. I liked that it focused on file sharing/syncing only. Reluctantly migrated to NextCloud and it's bloated beyond belief. It works though, and I've been too lazy to look into

I deleted my account and moved my stuff when Microsoft took it over, and never looked back. A project on Github is a project i will not interact with. People have very short memories.

>year of the Linux desktop A tangent, and I realise this phrase is a meme, but it has always bothered me. Nobody has ever defined what year of the Linux desktop actually means, so it's a phrase without any real meaning.

Everyone replying to me as if I said charging speed is totally irrelevant and are bringing up contrived edge cases. If all you're doing is commuting to work, which is what most of us are doing, unless you have an absurdly long commute

Charging speed is too overrated as a metric, in my opinion. For the overwhelming majority of people, you're almost never driving more per day than the capacity of your battery. And even on an 11 kW home charger, you're easily back

I've liked Vivaldi a lot, including it's support for vertical tabs which I consider essential at this point. And they don't constantly mess around with the UI for no reason, unlike Chrome and Firefox. My main major gripe with

Clownflare did drop Kiwi Farms. I don't particularly care for Kiwi Farms, but I don't think characterising them as a neo-nazi community is accurate. Throwing that label at any disagreeable person or community is counterproductive

Official or not, I've never seen the government care even a little bit about a petition, beyond paying it lip service until the news cycle moves on to the next current thing.

This pattern isn't unique to Apple computers. I upgraded my 4th gen Intel machine to a 14th gen last years (mobo finally crapped out), and it's by far the most underwhelming upgrade I've ever done. Sure it's faster some
