So what's the problem anyways? One platform is changing ownership, the open web doesn't care.

All things you listed are entirely in the power of governments - even the smallest ones. I'm actually fighting with the state about one of these you listed as we speak (healthcare insurance).

Exactly. Also, firing established people who stop contributing is impossible (they'll plead "it's political"), and hiring new people for good wages is impossible too because "that's not according to our tables

This is something much different from the previous claim (that companies are as powerful as states). None of this means that the company is more powerful than any state. And regardless - no business is going to send you to prison, while the

We tried that in Europe and it was really the worst thing that can happen. Public funding is a good idea, public ownership is a really bad one. Even the German healthcare system is a combined system of public funding of privately owned heal

Why is that a problem? A custom shirt printing company would offer the generator. It's up to the customer to decide whether the output can be legally sold (or, perhaps, they're not selling it). Anything you wish can be printed tod

Don't let that mislead you: This is much more than a simple parser library. It's really a big chunk of what a compiler does, as the title advertises. Yeah, you need to handle the actual runtime part, of course.

Sure. Encyclopedias, programming books (ZX Spectrum BASIC manual - didn't understand it much back then though, that came around 6-7 y/o)... And of course story books too.

Well speaking about the last 15 years, so 2007 to today, for me it was the same as modern clouds - register, add a credit card, order a server, few minutes later the root password arrives in e-mail. And oldschool LAMP webhosting is basica
