Are you implying that government institutions don’t preserve problems to which they’re the solution?

Hereditary, biological factors only get selected via reproduction, so of course that’s how it works. “Stupid people” won’t “die out” as long as “they” keep having kids. Simple as that.

Completely agree. Boston proper is an absolute ghost town outside of office hours, and is basically silent even then while everyone is working. That plus Vienna at the top makes me throw this whole thing as useless.

It’s not like saying that, but saying that doesn’t seem too absurd anyway.

This is super fun. I've been playing for 40 min now. I have seen civs wiped out by military AIs, nuclear war, volcanoes, forest fires, and more. Others seemingly continuously prosper. Cool stuff, thanks!

I’m not drawing any conclusions or promoting it for anyone else. I’m expressing excitement that there is clearly _something there_ that other people see too and are willing to put through research rigor. It’s validating to see that others m

Interesting. Is that all you eat in a day? It looks like the lowest carb flavor is unsweetened and unflavored at 65g net for the daily 5x meals/servings (assuming there are no sugar alcohols, which they don't list on the label). T

I can't help but think "finally" and "told ya so" regarding this news. It's difficult to describe how massively my life changed when I started keto. Like the subject of the article, I've had Bipolar (1 in

This is interesting. Last summer my family had a trip to LA and rented a car through Hertz. I'm a Gold member through Delta status (which is 1000% better than trying to use Hertz without the status), so they had an upgrade for me - a T

The median amount of education debt in 2021 among those with any outstanding debt for their own education was between $20,000 and $24,999. This reflects the central tendency of student loan debts, providing a perspective less influenced by

Definitely. Uni in the EU is very inexpensive and all expenses will really be cost of living (or room and board if living on campus). Uni in the USA is outrageously expensive and is in addition to the cost of living.

I don’t think so. > As of 2023, approximately 44 million Americans carry student loan debt, with the total student loan debt in the United States reaching $1.76 trillion according to the Federal Reserve. This figure includes both federal

It'd be interesting to do a comparison. But to your point, I don't think people use it as much for productivity gains as just the fun of it.

You're not wrong, but what I mean is that the actual title of the article is: "How to Be Great? Just Be Good, Repeatably"

Title should be “repeatably” not “repeatedly” - subtle but important difference!

Agreed. In the first picture, you can see it stands for "Java FlightRecorder," but there's no explanation of what that is or does. A profiler?
