Same. I'm a big time psychedelic advocate, and relatively frequent consumer. Prozac actually saved my life. Psychedelics since have certainly enhanced it, but they could not accomplish what prozac did. I can go into more detail if inte

My lifetime mpg is just about 20 on the dot. It’s a 30.6 gallon tank. Keep in mind I’m driving through canyons and mountain passes and just about maxing out my payload over half the time I drive. It’s incredible.

I think there’s a very very low chance. I live in Utah and have land in Wyoming. I own the hybrid (powerboost) F150 and use it for its intended purposes constantly. I am in southern Utah and northern Wyoming all the time. There is simply ze

What makes you think there’s a point to anything about it other than that it’s electric? The boring design is a good thing. It’s not trying to be “cool” or even innovative really. It’s simply trying to be electric.

Yes. It's fantastic—the best portable dev machine on the market. My only complaint is the bezel, but it's ignorable.

This all sounds reasonable but also anecdote. I'm curious if there are any analyses, studies, or anything other than PNWers' HN comments backing claims like these.

The Fermi paradox covers this quite interestingly: “The Fermi paradox is the discrepancy between the lack of conclusive evidence of advanced extraterrestrial life and the apparently high likelihood of its existence.” https://en.

Ah, it’s you! You’ve got a hell of a resume. And been accidentally incredibly convincing in getting many people into many early messes. Jokes aside, thanks for at least coming around to advise startups sanely. I’d personally never advocate

Earthquakes are not silent. I'm not sure where you experienced yours but earthquakes are deafeningly loud. Movie-style earthquake sounds don't even do it justice.

Why did you pick the number 11? I don’t disagree but I could see it being a lot more. Just wondering if that’s some sort of agreed upon number or something.

This is good insight and matches with my experience. As a product-focused engineer/manager, it’s too often I’ve found my teams giving up and taking into our own hands what “should be” owned by platform teams, while they work on things
