Well, they said no woman ever won this race so I guess it's a fair assumption that the first place will be a male. They probably added the female winner trophy to be more inclusive towards women even. The situation is kind of stupid bu

I like that here in Turkey every single person uses WhatsApp. I recently switched from iOS to Android and haven't realized I lost iMessage.

Apple's plist format might be the weirdest abuse of XML as far as I can tell. The SOAP envelopes and shit like that were horrible but plist is plain weird. Everyone abused XML some way or another. JSON is not that "abusable"

It took 2 weeks for me, without a laptop. I had to do it 2 times, 2 weeks both times. They fought me on the first one saying that I broke the keyboard. I lost 1 more week on the phone with Apple support to force them do the repairs free.. N

They have a web server on your machine. If the browsers did that, they would find some other way to handle this since they have a server running on your computer. I don't think the browser vendors are to blame here.

Use Google Cloud VMs. Nobody blocks Google IPs (they might even lift paywalls etc)

Cloudflare seems to have decent status reporting. I'd go with AWS on this.

Was thinking the same thing. It can drive two 4k displays. Yay! Who the hell uses these like that?

I'm kind of neutral about it but haven't met anyone who said it was good. Seems like people either hate it or don't care about it. There are a lot of people who like the butterfly keyboard (apart from reliability) but I thoug

I tried my luck with that too, trying to upload my iCloud library from my Mac to google photos. It is a giant pile of shit. I went ahead and wrote a simple app that reads iCloud metadata and uploads directly to Google Photos API. It synced

I generally leave my home 1 hour before the flight then leave the landing airport immediately since I don't have checked in baggage. The entire endevour is around 1.5 hours + flight duration.

Recetly switched to using this on VsCode. Works great. A lot faster than the older implementation and this server model makes a lot of sense. Good job having gopls ready in a short time.

We have an intercom widget on our SaaS website. A lot of people just say "hi" and wait for an ACK. Or go with "I have a question". Then they wait. I guess they think it is turn based. Just go ahead and ask your question.

I had one. I think the interface was great. The OS was buttery smooth. Can't really remember the details but I really liked it.

Yeah, I recently switched from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S10. I don't have a previous experience so my reasoning was "well it's Samsung, at worst they'll have some shitty branded apps and some cruft". But I don'

Never been bothered by it in practice but good question. The newish filesystem (apfs) feels faster in daily use so your experience might be outdated by now.

Yeah I remember reading this particular comment when it was new. It mostly feels like “ok guys this is the best we get out of this” to me though. If they do not go with a different approach, the filesystem will always be an issue with WSL.

Well the idea is that you do not click a reset password button. You click on a forgot password button so this gives you a temporary one to use. Your second point is spot on and I do ask for the current password. The temp password also works

My current approach is to send an email with a temporary password which works for a single login and can be used to change the password. Original password still works. Temp password expires in 1 hour. It is basically a reset token but allow
