I agree with the technique of divide and conquer, but those links are really hard to see! Bright blue on a dark blue background, oof!

> My issue with Rust is the refactor cost when it needs to change. That’s an interesting take. I’ve heard it before but I believe the opposite. For me, Rust is much easier to refactor.

Did I miss where the article mentions that those workers tend to be older? Also - why does working at home imply any of those things (besides video calls).

There’s ruffle! It’s able to play swf files, but there’s no editor, yet.

What is your sound engine built with? What tools are you using for the GUI? I’ve found the GUI the hardest part of VST development (but I’m not on a traditional C++ Juce stack).

> I think defeating alcoholism also made me much more productive haha Just out of curiosity and because we all have different limits - how much do you think you used to drink, generally, and what helped you quit?

My project Renderling ( https://github.com/schell/renderling ) is funded by NLNet and I can say the whole process has been great. It’s changed the way I think about open source and gives me motivation to continue.

Wouldn't the extra money allow their message to get better "saturation"? If they can get their message out and cover more ground, be repeated more often, etc. Doesn't that give them an advantage?

I mean designing APIs. Working with APIs is a different discipline than designing them and it takes practice to get it right.

You would hope, but some folks don’t have a background in APIs and don’t really know when life could be better.

From my friends who work on rust-GPU it’s been my impression that Embark is moving away from Rust. But it’s not because of the ecosystem. Although I agree that it is immature. Instead it seemed to be more an economic situation. It’s hard to

Because that’s the racket! They can’t pay you top dollar because they’re a lean startup, so they make up for it by adding “equity” to remuneration. But that equity is in the form of options which you have to buy with your not-top-dollar s

Don’t take this the wrong way, but Americans seem to have an issue with roundabouts. I’ve seen several go in around LA and then promptly get turned into wacky stop signs. Btw I am American, though I’m living in New Zealand and I prefer roun

I have a similar setup in using helix with Alacritty. Of course Alacritty doesn’t provide a GUI (being a terminal emulator) but it is a very fast stack that looks quite nice.

It’s the most widely used dialect of smalltalk and it compiles down to native code. Also it’s a superset of C and C++ so you can mix all three in a single file, for better or worse.

Maybe trivial to “work around” but there is a difference, ay? With this type you would have to check/match an extra case! The type you use there also takes more memory than Option<T> or Maybe<T>. So it has some other downsi

Earthquakes - so far so good, but I grew up in LA and lived through multiple large-ish quakes (Northridge). One big difference is that many small rural towns only have one road in or out, so a quake could block the road, leaving you strande
