I felt that NZ handled it great! I lived through a year of American lock down and then a year of Kiwi lockdown (we emigrated from the US while on lockdown - it was nuts). IMO Ardern handled it beautifully, at least compared to the misinform

I think they are referring to hackers. So - as a hacker you only need to slip up once to possibly be found by a group of average folks working 9-5 to catch you.

I’m sure your question is rhetorical, but just in case - I think we all know it’s because they want to fit in, or at least… …not get called out for not participating. Yes, it’s not mandatory and yes you _could_ sit down and not sing, but th

I think the term you’re looking for is “decriminalisation”, which is different than “legalisation”.

The argument is that humans are part of nature and therefore anything made by humans is still natural. I tend to agree with this - there is a dichotomy here, but it is "natural" vs. "supernatural" - not "natural&quo

I don’t think the engines will switch their happy-paths to splats until artists have the proper tools to create assets with splats. As cool as generating splats with AI is, the assets in a AAA game must fit the art directors vision, which m

Sounds like you need to think in printer movements. And you have to use excel and Visual Basic to input them.

I highly recommend https://github.com/sdiehl/write-you-a-haskell as it is very developer friendly. It’s not complete, but it really gets the gears turning and will set you up for writing your own Hendley-Milner style t

Can you give an example because it has been my experience that they tend to give answers that sound right, but after closer inspection (or attempted compilation - or running) are in fact wrong.

https://googlethatforyou.com/?q=successful%20business%20buil... You get the picture. Also, types are a spectrum. C++ has types, Objective-C has types. Those alone have enough success stories to fill tomes! But of course you

We have already had these throughout history without this technology! Humans are humans no matter what they look like or how they got here and we have to treat us all equally and with respect - that’s the solution to those problems.

Because it introduces a different type system like Hendly-Milner. One of the reasons Go has incredible compile times is because it doesn’t have to calculate types the way Haskell, Rust and other ML-like languages do.

If Go had sum types it would be a completely different language - compile times would skyrocket and it would likely look like Rust without the borrow checker. Personally I think it would be better than Go, but I think most Go folks would di

What folks are saying is that requiring a backdoor in encryption for “blessed” individuals is wrong. I can tell from your comment that you trust cops. Not all of us do (at least - not all of us trust all cops) and so we don’t want ANY cops
