Actually, you should always define some "buzzword soup" as you put it, or as others put it "define the tone". Picking out opposites to words she says is a cheap shot. Of course no one would ask for "stale, frustrating and ugly" websites. Ho

If you're expecting something potentially embarrassing, then it's not so hard to be at the ready with a camera to take a photo of the screen.

I've worked remotely for 10+ years for various companies. I really appreciate the trust and commitment my employers have for letting me be in this situation. As a result I always try to go beyond expectations and pay a lot of attention to c

We've heard plenty of stories of false accusations in order to settle old family scores. "Interested in men" does not necessarily mean in a homosexual way, but it can be twisted to look that way. I accept what I'm implying is a stretch, but

Except that in Iran, you get hung for being gay. It's not a huge stretch to see what this search is implying > “Islamic men interested in men who live in Tehran, Iran“… “Places where they’ve worked.”

Ignoring any aspect of design will make you look frivolous. Yes, exploring trends are a subset of design but they are just as important as any other aspect of design. When I'm asked to design something of course I test and make sure it's fu

It may surprise you, but a part of design is fashion [trends]. My Ski jacket from about 10 years ago still works really well. At the time it looked great, but now it's outdated in style, although it still works great. So as a designer, yes

Just spent christmas snowmobiling and I much prefer a map on my phone with a GPS pinpoint of where I am. I'm not used to a snowy landscape so I couldn't reference were I am on a paper map, but my phone made that easy.

For me it's not the split, or the lower rate vs what I'd normally earn. But I'm like you in that I can't just ditch existing clients for a couple of months and expect them to be there when I get back should this not work out.

UI Design is a type of language and as such has to communicate a symbol with a meaning (or action in most cases). If you can use a language element that your user already understands, why would you rule it out? I also wonder why you compare

You don't need an mvp to asses demand. Go on forums, get out on the street and ask people. 1) Get them to agree [or disagree] that the problem exists. 2) Explain your solution and get a reaction. You should already have some idea of demand

that's not true. Not every product requires the same amount of "minimal". You can quite easily get the signal from users of your MVP that they are not interested - when actually it's just that you have a crappy MVP. Besides that, your origi
