technically it's not illegal, but completely immoral. Imagine if I channelled all my PAYE taxes through an offshore company, who would pay for our health system, infrastructure etc.

I'm guessing he's actually referring to tax avoidance. Not sure how long it will last though as the UK is going be clamping down on this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20559791

I'd be interested in this too. I'd like to know if it's in a format where you could judge yourself/your own idea and see what score comes out.

But the reasons you're giving for saying "but I'd much rather never have a modal ever" are down to bad design decisions. In that sense any UI pattern could cause you the same reaction if used badly. I don't think you can write of modals sim

Good on you for giving your hard work away. I would make a suggestion though to tighten up those pixels in the demo png, the half pixels are making most icons look blurry http://cl.ly/image/093M0z0z3a2W

As already mentioned, the WKS/DAYS should probably formatted in the same way. Maybe I missed something, but how do you know what you are bidding on, just from the button? Or does this need to be embedded somewhere that already has the produ

and this article makes that point pretty well. It might not say it explicitly, but by the end of the article that's the message I got. I've been guilty myself of looking for the "solo-founder how-to" guide. Like the person above, inevitably

I don't exactly agree. I think good people who have made a name for themselves or done something of note in their field are hot commodities. It's perfectly normal to be good at your trade and not get a look-in.

One possible flaw here is that it only sends public images. I don't post pics (the exact pics I want to send) of my daughter publicly. Isn't there a way to tag the photo as ok to send?

your grand mom is on email? neat. This would also be cool with Dropbox. I know people have shared albums with new pics added every-so-often. And a printed option (someday) would be nice too. Something like the recipient can one-click to get

I'd love to use CrashPlan for the bulk of my older projects but I have 350GB data and as I'm from the UK there is no way to seed it. It would take me something like a month to upload all that data.

£51 for 5GB of data is expensive. I'm in the UK and on t-mobile I pay £17 per month for unlimited data (not 4G though), all calls and all texts (well there are limits, but for my moderate/heavy usage it's as good as unlimited) and those cal

Here's something I realised a little while ago: The web is my content management system. I post to Flickr, Dribbble, Blogger, Github, Google+, Twitter etc and that stuff is my content. I post it there so that other people will find it and

I used to look for the best product on the market when I was considering a new service. I no longer do that. I now look for the product whose support will be there for me when disaster strikes. No matter what product you choose, at some poi

That's not a pattern I've noticed generally. A lot of the sites I deal with are very specialised with content. For example, posting a listing to Etsy.com requires some very specific details which are not relevant to other sites. To post an

I'm 35. Until I was about 33/34 I felt like I was in my early-twenties. I know to some that's still young, to others that's over a decade away, but over the course of this year I think I have crossed over a bright white line as you put it (

it takes about 3 seconds to lower or raise my (electric) height adjustable desk. I got it for £200 off ebay. You can just about see the mechanism on this post about my workspace http://qiip.me/edlea/blogger/post/4019

Did you consider a height adjustable desk? I work alone, so it's not too embarrassing having an electronic desk. I have noticed that my legs ache less. I stand for about 1/3 of the day usually.
