Hard disagree. The most important part of the election, from a news perspective, will be during/after the count, especially if it looks like Harris will win, or it's exceedingly close. Maybe this wouldn't be the case pre-Trum

Not surprising I guess, since our survival literally depended on that capability for tens of thousands of years (and still does, to a lesser extent)

I don't think Apple expected to move a ton of these. It's more a proof of concept that they can iterate on. In five years, it may look a lot different.

I was flying back to the US from Mexico on United the day after the meltdown. Reading the news, I was obviously quite concerned about how it was going to go (I was traveling with my 10 and 6 year old kids). Amazingly, everything went off wi

I wonder if she would even be able to get her foot in the door in Hollywood nowadays. She has a very "unconventional" look that doesn't necessarily align with the modern standards of beauty that generally are table stakes in

Right - I guess technically Biden would be eligible, but for goodness sake, I think even he would admit at that point that it wouldn't be the best move for the party for him to run at age 85.

There were several in 2020; Pete Buttigieg, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris etc. None of them got much traction, and once Biden got momentum after South Carolina, everyone coalesced around him because the main goal for Democrats was "Beat T

Exact same for me. I played drums in rock bands for years, the first few of which I used no ear protection. It's a miracle my tinnitus isn't worse. I don't notice it in normal day to day life, but at night when it's quie

I have a slightly different problem. What I miss about the physical book is its context - that is to say, the cover art, its particular weight, the font face, how the chapter numbers are printed, etc., which give a book its certain "fe

I always marvel at how bizarre it is that there's a permanent ad on the Kindle even when it's "off". The books they recommend are never pertinent to me in the slightest.

Same here! I'm in my 50's, so I often have to wake up to pee at anywhere from 3 - 5 AM. Sometimes I go right back to sleep but sometimes not. Then it's up at 6:15 AM to get the kids going for school (I had kids really late.)

Often times, the hotels don't even require to turn in these cards upon checkout, so they are thrown in the trash. A nefarious actor could just pull one out of the trash and so not even have to be a guest in the hotel.
